The Academia Social Business Meeting will take place at The Hub in Vienna, Austria, on the 9th of November 2011, the day prior to the Global Social Business Summit.
The goal of the event is to give academics the possibility to share their work in the field of social business within the three pillars: research, practice and teaching. It also aims to provide all participants with the opportunity to network and to exchange ideas about potential collaborations in social business.
The Academia Social Business Meeting is specifically targeted at academia representatives (incl. professors and faculty members). The participants will be representatives of current GCL partner universities, as well as other academics interested in the field of social business from all over the world.
There will only be 70 places available for registration, which will be offered by invitation and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
The meeting is a one-day event, which will take place on November 9, 2011 at The Hub in Vienna.
The Hub is a social business work and meeting space in the heart of the city.

The day will be split into two sessions:
Morning: The morning session will consist of presentations from professors from Kyushu (Japan), Glasgow (Scotland), and Singapore (subject to change).
Afternoon: For the afternoon session the participants will work in break-out groups to work on specific topics in research, teaching and implementation. Every participant will rotate through the three areas in a world café format.
